Bonnin Ashley Antiques specializes in 18th and 19th century European and American furniture and accessories and features one of the largest showrooms in South Florida at 20,000 square feet. Sorne Boloix Flick and husband, Michael Flick, founded the company in 1986 to serve as guardians of a largely lost art form: fine craftsmanship.

A reflection of the couple’s extensive travels and their deep interest in art and history, they will utilize their extensive collection in the design of foyer in The Kampong’s Main House. Sorne is approaching the project as she may have pursued designing the foyer to David and Marian Fairchild, should they have contracted her while they resided at The Kampong. Respecting the existing Asian theme, established so strongly by the staircase, Sorne will “treat the space much like a musical overture with references that would hint at the rooms to come.”
